The Peak Of Nurturing Week
Cosmic Frequency News 5 October 2023 – The Peak Of Nurturing Week – By Dr. Schavi M. Ali
In a recent article, I wrote about how this week is an important one for self-nurturing in preparation for the coming Solar and Lunar Eclipses.
From Today, Thursday, 10/5/2023, at “8:32” AM (EDT) when our Moon moved into the sign of Cancer until Saturday, 10/7/2023 at “3:12” PM (EDT) when it will go “Void” before moving into Leo at “7:24” PM (EDT) are the most significant days for turning focus into oneself rather than to the outer world of constant activity.
Cancer is the metaphorical sign of the “Great Mother”, and therefore, of birthing, healing, nurturing, soothing, and relaxing.
It is also a sign of sensitivity. Regardless of anyone’s particular Sun sign, when our Moon is in Cancer, its energetics affect everyone.
There is less desire to be on-the-go, to become involved in lots of responsibilities such as new work projects, community programs, or political and sociological drama.
There is an inner need for self-care more avidly than when our Moon is in other signs.
This Cancer Moon, however, is most significant because it is in square position to the North Node in Aries and the South Node in Libra, and it is in opposition to Pluto in Capricorn.
These aspects can add to heights of emotion and can also create moodiness.
However, it does make a harmonious sextile to Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus so self-nurturance during today through Saturday can be very beneficial, and we can also receive spiritual messages as we engage in quietude.
Jupiter tends to be expansive and rewarding, and Uranus tends to give us sudden intuitive insights.
Being in Taurus, both of these planets can help us to specifically make wise decisions regarding financial situations because Taurus governs monetary and material concerns.
Taurus also focuses on love, beauty, and comfort.
So, during our Moon’s transit through Cancer, we can also ask ourselves how we can be more self-loving and comfortable while the world continues to move through chaotic situations that need clearing-out and cleansing.
The Cancer Moon is definitely a time to engage in the many nurturing suggestions given in several previous articles.
A powerful mantra for this weekend is the “Pranava” (“Cosmic Sound”) of “AUM” pronounced often and aloud. Take a deep beath and extend out the sound as “AUUUUUMM”.
If you already have or can obtain a mala of either Moonstone or Mother of Pearl, this is a wonderful one for peace, stress release, calmness, hormonal balance, and regeneration.
These are substances that are for both women and men.
After cleansing your mala with warm mild soap and giving it a cooling rinse and then drying it, pronounce the “Pranava” into each bead; recite any special prayers you desire, and then pronounce the “Prananva” once more; then touch the “Guru” bead to your “third eye” which represents being blessed by SOURCE.
You can also anoint your mala with a calming, protective, and healing oil such as Frankincense, Jasmine, Rose, or Sandalwood.
Wear the mala all weekend. It can be the mala that you wear when our Moon is in the sign of Cancer each month, or you can wear it whenever you desire—especially when you feel a need for some extra “Mama” energy.
While there are still a few warm days in the Northern Hemisphere before autumn weather truly anchors into the atmosphere, and while warmth builds in the Southern Hemisphere as spring commences, take walks or sit by a lake or pond. Concentrate on the water.
Allow its energy to soothe you. Cancer is a water element sign.
Then meditate for a while.
Each sign has its own special energy, and Cancer can be very advantageous in balancing our nervous system.
So, symbolically wrap yourself in “Mama’s arms” this weekend, and smile while you are being comforted by the DIVINE MOTHER.
