A major solar flare measuring X1.1 ~ SolarHam.com

A major solar flare measuring X1.1 was just observed around AR 3341 at 17:09 UTC (Jun 20). Early indications are that a coronal mass ejection (CME) will be associated with this event. Because the source region is not yet directly facing our planet, it would likely be directed mostly away from Earth. More updates to follow.
